Will Dearman, Founder and Principal of Dearman Ventures, was the key speaker in a three day workshop for executives in Malaysia on structuring and strategies for middle market mergers and acquisitions. The workshop, titled “Malaysia & Asia Pacific: M&A Hub for the Future,” was hosted by Comfori Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia during July 2008.

Topics from Will’s presentation included “Forms of Mergers, Acquisitions, Partnerships, and Financial Restructuring,” “Valuation Methods,” as well as applied knowledge in diverse areas such as “Strategies to Defend Against a Hostile Takeover,” “Negotiation Techniques,” and “Integration Frameworks.” The presentation was based on the “Learn M&A” curriculum by Dearman Ventures.

Other speakers in the workshop included Mr. Kelvin Loh, partner in the Malaysia law firm the Malaysian law firm of Shook Lin & Bok, and Mr. Jeremy Little, a business integrations specialist.
